Notes

Unix time counts seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z. Anything with 13 or more digits is treated as milliseconds. Your timezone is .

What this timestamp converter does

Paste an epoch value and see it as local time and as UTC at the same moment, with the seconds and milliseconds cases detected automatically. Ten digits are treated as seconds, thirteen as milliseconds.

The reverse direction takes a date and time and returns the epoch in both units, which is what you need when an API documents one and your logs show the other.

Local output uses your system time zone and UTC output ignores it, so the two lines together tell you whether a bug is a time zone problem or an actual offset. Conversion runs in the page.
